His career includes more than 20 years with The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., nearly nine years with IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance, and senior leadership experience in insurance broking, including claims management and client relationship management with Aon Risk Insurance Brokers.
Akhilesh has led large claims teams and handled Casualty and Liability claims, while also working extensively across Property, Fire and Marine insurance. His experience includes coordinating complex claims involving clients, insurers and surveyors, helping stakeholders understand coverage and claims requirements, and strengthening the connection between underwriting, placement and claims functions.
He has also held senior management responsibility for underwriting, marketing and claims, including managing large teams and substantial commercial insurance portfolios. His experience therefore provides a practical understanding of the insurance lifecycle—from risk placement and underwriting through policy servicing and ultimately claims.
